Dark Mori, aka The Comfy Goth Life

I can't believe I didn't include this in my first posts about Goth styles! Well, to be fair, I didn't know about it back then, but I have known about it for a good while now and I'm pretty much obsessed with Dark Mori. It's such a comfy style, but easier to wear in the colder months as you have many layers on. If you don't know what Dark Mori is look it up here or just google it and you will discover that it's a very relaxed, layered way of dressing inspired by elements of the forest. Many Dark Mori girls (and guys) like roaming around the woods, nature and such. It also has a witchy, fantasy, fairy type vibe to it.

I've always wanted to try out this style myself but never had much in my wardrobe to work with. I recently obtained a couple of clothing items that worked really well together with a long black skirt that I own and so I dressed it yesterday. Unfortunately I have no photo's or OOTD video because I had a family emergency. But I plan to wear it again and I will update and share here in this post when I do.

Goth Baby Clothes: First Designs

July 2017 Update
Here is Draygen wearing his "Little Beastie" Outfit

I had a ball making my first two DIY Goth Baby clothes for my little Beastie! These designs are original, by me, and I was so pleased with how they turned out. I can't wait till he's here and I can try them on him. I definitely plan to make more, as I've obtained some black clothes!

Goth Baby Clothes

Once again I apologize for not keeping up on this blog. 2016 brought on many life changes for me. I haven't really been able to go thrifting and Halloween Clearance was scarce this year. But the subject of this particular blog entry is Goth Baby Clothes. Because, well I'm 5 months (23 weeks) pregnant with a little beastie (boy)! As I said, lots of changes. And of course I want to pass on my love for all that is dark, spooky, creepy and Halloweeny to my little boy. Upon researching Goth baby clothes, I found out, they are not cheap. Fortunately Walmart sells black baby onesies for cheap so I'm going to make my own by painting cute and creepy goth baby designs on them. Here are a few ideas I started sketching out.

So now that a few things have changed in my life I am even more of a Goth on a Budget than before...that budget currently being zero. As frustrating as that is, I find ways to make my own fun like going to the library and finding awesome creepy books and movies! Here is a copy of a pamphlet my library had on horror selections available. I thought it would be cool to post and share with others. It's good, free creepy fun for all you gouls and beasties!

Goth on a Budget get's free room decor!

What's the next best thing to getting gothy stuff for cheap? Getting it free! Fortunately I was able to acquire 4 wonderful goth decor items from friends. If you have friends who want to give things away, hey, take them! Especially if it's Halloween stuff (which I will be on the lookout for this spring and summer during garage sales.) Here are the items I received.

Hello Gouls & Beasties!

I still do exist! Just been, I admit, extremely lazy about updating this vlog. I have been elsewhere, YouTube-ing and Tumblr-ing.

DIY is Perfect for a Goth on a Budget

Happy October!!!

If you're like me...you're broke a lot of the time. Sometimes it gets me down but other times it get's me inspired. If I can't afford what I want, I see if I am able to make it myself. I've recently been in a huge DIY mood! There are so many wonderful gothy and Halloween things out there to purchase! Unfortunately purchasing is not in my realm of things I can do right now! So when all else fails, or in this case when you're penniless, Do it Yourself!! Grab your tape, scissors, glue, scraps of material, sewing box, etc and let your creative juices flow!

Here are some DIY projects I've made recently
Paper Candle Lanterns: Drawn, with a flame-less tea light inside

These one's are Print Outs

Made these bottles last year
Printed out labels on the computer, used bottles and jars from home and put water and food coloring in them
